Just a few days ago, the electronic artists Antecessor, Avola (Formerly EMS), and Grand Arbiter played a collaborative set together at Killingsworth Dynasty as part of a party celebrating the career and life of Thrones. One gent in attendance was the ever-prolific Daniel Menche, who captured their squirrelly and beautiful set on his digital recorder and, with some remixing, turned it into this beautiful hour long melt. I can't even. ELROND has so many rob0ts in their live setup I was crying cables. Some bands go gear-wild, this band uses every last piece with militant precision. From their first note, technically minded audience members zombied to the front, in a trance which wandered elfin landscapes and didn't let us down for 45 minutes. ELROND is that underground band on a level of journeymanship which deserves WAY more notice. I'd put them in league with Godspeed You! Black Emperor. LeylaDaze
